The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance is proud to announce that none other than metal guitar supremo Steve Smyth is joining the visiting faculty! Steve will be bringing with him his incredible skills, his valuable time and his wealth of knowledge and expertise – all now exclusively available to Institute students!

Orange Amps Launch New Website

Continuing their 40th anniversary celebrations, Orange Amps have re-launched their website incorporating new anniversary graphics and a whole host of new and exciting features. With a full re-design the all-new website is packed with great new user friendly search facilities, loads more pictures and a wealth of new information.

Fully updated with a new product guide, the site now has a comprehensive easy to access product information section, including new image gallery, detailed specs and a comprehensive site search resource.

The UK’s biggest public guitar show is only one week away and the line-up in nothing short of Stella. With guitar god himself Joe Satriani, rock's premiere virtuoso guitarists Yngwie Malmsteen and arguably the world’s great bass player, Billy Sheehan all performing guitar fans are in for a treat of epic proportions.

Planet Rock announcement:
At long last I’m delighted to be able to announce that Planet Rock’s future is now secure. We have been purchased by life long rock and radio fan Malcolm Bluemel and his consortium supported by our very own Tony Iommi, Ian Anderson, Gary Moore and Fish, saving Planet Rock from certain closure.

In a deal finalised earlier today Malcolm takes control of the station with

Guitar X - 25 Years of training musicians

This year Tech Music Schools celebrates 25 years of training musicians. The 25th anniversary marks a huge achievement for us. The schools now comprise of Drumtech, Vocaltech, Guitar-X and most recently Keyboardtech, and have come a long way since 1983, when founder and director, Francis Seriau, began one-on-one Tuition from the front room of his house!

Rock School Teaching Diplomas

Rockschool has always been committed to formal and high standards in mainstream music education. It is intended that these diplomas (developed in association with the Musicians’ Union) will swell the ranks of qualified teachers of popular music, and provide a quality benchmark amongst those educators.
