Jas Morris - Inspired Thoughts

Jas Morris was a new name to all of us until his Guitar Idol entry got through to the Live Final back on June 14th 2008 when he had the unenviable task of opening the show - but one he carried off with considerable flair, panache and skill.

Jas has built up a considerable live reputation in the South and West of the UK (see http://www.morrisbrothersband.com/) so let's see whether his live prowess translates to disc...

Elevenses Special with Music Maestro: KIP WINGER!

In an Elevenses Special, we catch up with Kip Winger and talk about his new album 'From The Moon To The Sun'.

Kip Winger is as prolific as a musician can be. He is a multi-talented instrumentalist, revered songwriter and founder of the multi-platinum Winger. His latest solo album 'From The Moon To The Sun' is released on 9th May 2008 through Frontiers Records. Already hailed as a masterpiece, the album also features All Out Guitar favourite Andy Timmons.

Kip Winger 'From The Moon To The Sun'

It’s hard to know where to start with Kip Winger. It’s like trying to preach to the deaf. Either you are fully aware of this man’s extraordinary talent or you are not. I don’t like to use the word genius loosely, but there you have it, I just have.

Most songwriters dry up by the time they are 30, whereas Kip Winger continues to produce and compose so much high calibre music it’s uncanny. I always worry that he will run out of any decent material for his own solo work, but I can assure you that, once again he hasn’t.

Marco Sfogli - There's Hope

There has been much debate in the pages of All Out Guitar recently as to who are the hottest players in the world right now and who is the future of shred. Some of the names to pop up in these discussions have been Michael Romeo, Andy James, Guthrie Govan and older names such as Andy Timmons, Greg Howe, Steve Vai and of course Yngwie. Youtube is also a constant source of clips of the latest bedroom shredder or guitar show clinician.

Wim Roelants - Burn

I first met Wim Roelants at the first London Guitar Show that we exhibited at, and I and many fellow guitar demonstrators where much amused by the live performances of this super tanned and abs wielding axeman, throwing poses galore for Lag guitars.
