Outl4w drop in for a surprise gig at the ICMP

Up and coming young punksters, Outl4w, recently dropped into the Institute to rattle the windows with their high energy and raw brand of punk. The band literally rang up the day before and said ‘we’re down the road, can we play a short gig!’

Outl4w have burst into the public’s conscience as a breath of fresh air. The band, young in age but not attitude or experience, have already got many Radio One sessions under their belts, released two EP’s to critical acclaim (including NME’s ‘Vinyl Of The Week’) , played over 250 shows around the world, and started off 2008 by playing the NME awards tour with Enter Shikari at the London Astoria.

You can tell when a band has been gig-hardened, and they are surefooted enough to simply pick up a couple of the Institute’s house Yamaha guitars and a Musicman bass, and let rip! The press reaction to the band has all been about their tunes and their ferocious, energetic live show and this was no exception. It may have been the afternoon, but they pulled no punches, and delivered a fantastic short set to our impressed students!
