Graduation at Lock 17
Sunday the 16th December saw the students of April Graduate at Lock 17, Camden. It was a full house as students from the 1 Year Diploma course performed for family and friends. All in all around 450 people rammed into the venue, making for a very exciting night. Our fantastic endorsees as ever gave generously to those students who had stood out and worked hard. Every year these guys never cease to amaze us with their generosity. Prizes were as follows;
For Guitar Stephane Juillard took best overall, winning a Benji Madden Signature electric guitar donated by MUSIC MAN. Top performance went to Seiji Teshima with him taking away an MG100DFX combo guitar amp donated by MARSHALL, and most improved went to Nattakorn Kointarangkul receiving a DL4 Digital Delay pedal donated from LINE 6.
For Drums the best overall went to Tobias Humble with him taking away a Chad Smith signature snare donated from Pearl. Naoki Honma took best performance with a 16" 'A Custom' fast Crash cymbal donated from ZILDJIAN and 1 box of 5A drumsticks donated by VATER. Giuseppe Celardo took the prize for most improved, also taking home a 16" A Custom' fast Crash cymbal donated from ZILDJIAN.
From the vocals top overall student went to a very shocked and happy Janusz Sorichta. He couldn't believe it when he received a complete PA system with amp speakers and mics donated by PEAVEY. Top performance student was Kimberley Hilton grabbing a PGX24/SM58 Wireless mic donated by SHURE, as did most improved student Vanessa Simpson.
