Rockschool

Rockschool was set up in 1991 to bring the best in pop and rock into mainstream education. We do this by providing exams, publications, advice and support to teachers and educational bodies.

Rockschool offers both what candidates want and what teachers need within a fully recognized and accredited framework. It offers rock and pop music exams from Debut up to Grade 8 in Guitar, Bass, Drums, Popular Piano and Vocals.

Rockschool offers qualifications catering for all ages and levels of ability. In addition to the graded exams, you can choose from teaching qualifications and part-time and full-time courses in conjunction with our partners. These include our very own Teaching Diplomas at levels 4 and 6, developed in collaboration with the Musicians' Union and also, in partnership with Access to Music, our Music Practitioner and Music Educator vocational courses.
